DoroT: My Experience of Covid-19 Vaccination in Malaysia

As one of the healthcare personnel in Malaysia, we are one of the earliest batches to receive the Covid-19 vaccines.
🎈Today I'm gonna share my own experience after taking the vaccines and I sincerely hope more of you could sign up for the vaccination programme.

A. How To Register For the Covid-19 Vaccination? 怎么注册疫苗？
1. MySejahtera App
1. Click on the COVID-19 Vaccination. 点进去这里(红圈).
2. Verify your details. 确认你的资料。
3. Answer the questions. 回答以上的问题。
4. Wait for the 1st dose appointment. 等你的日期啦。
(Once you have received the date, you must confirm your attendance within 48 hours or else the date might be rescheduled.)
如果收到日期了，记得要按确认，否则可能会被取消日期。
5. 1st dose completed. (I've blurred my details out.)
打完第一支疫苗啦。
6. Finally 2nd dose completed after 21 days!
第二支也完成了。
2. Other methods to register for Covid-19 Vaccination 其他注册疫苗的方式
1. Be On Time (Or maybe earlier to get a parking spot).
2. Have light meal before the vaccination as the waiting time can be a little long.
3. If you're on certain medication, bring them along for the Doctor to assess whether you're suitable for the vaccination.
4. Wear attire with loose sleeves (for easy access to the injection site)
1. 最好早点到。(有时候需要时间找停车位）
2. 记得别空肚子因为可能需要等啊。
3. 记得带你有在服用的药物，让医生评估你适合打疫苗。
4. 可以穿比较容易翻袖子的衣服，方便打针。
My Own Experience
• I arrived earlier at my appointed Klinik Kesihatan and the nurse will give you a consent letter to write about your medical history and a waiting number.
• I waited for around half an hour before I was called inside.
• A pharmacist/ Dr will confirm your details and medical history and take your blood pressure.
• Wait for your turn to get inoculated.
• Ta-daa, you may take the photo while waiting to see if you develop any adverse effects.
• You may go home and come back for the 2nd dose.
1. 我早点到达指定的诊所，护士给了一张同意书让你签名和填写病史。
2. 等了半小时左右，就被叫进去里面。
3. 医生，药剂师会和你确认资料，问病史和量血压。
4. 然后就等待进房间~打~针~啦。（别怕真的一点都不疼）
5. 然后在等候区休息（看有没有副作用），这时候你可以拍照啦.
6. 回家然后下次来打第二支疫苗。
C. Types of Vaccines
According to the handbook of National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme, there are 5 types of vaccines selected as below.
根据我国的疫苗计划，我们有以下这五种疫苗。
D. Side Effects 副作用
Common Side Effects are:
• pain/ swelling/ redness at the injection site 红肿
• fever 发烧
• nausea 呕吐
• fatigue 疲乏
• headache 头痛
• chills 发冷
• joint pain 关节疼痛
If you have developed any Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFI), you may report any AEFI experience through the MySejahtera App or any healthcare services.
如果有什么严重的副作用，一定要去医院，通过MySejahtera也有相关的资料。
After my first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, I felt nothing much other than the usual arm soreness. However, I developed more symptoms after receiving the 2nd dose. I had low grade fever, chills, fatigue and dizziness on day 2 but all symptoms subsided on the following day.
1. 我打了第一支疫苗，只有手臂稍微疼痛。
2. 当打了第二支疫苗，当晚就有发烧，发冷，头晕，不过幸好第二天就比较好了，第三天就完全没问题了。
Everybody's reaction to the vaccine varies and usually the side effects are mild. Don't be too worried about them and bear in mind, the virus itself is even more harmful.
每个人对疫苗反应不一样，不过通常都是很轻微的副作用。别担心，因为Covid-19病毒更危险啊~！
In order to achieve herd immunity, we all have to take our responsibilities to receive the vaccines so that we can protect our loved ones especially those who cannot take the vaccines (eg <18 years old, people with severe allergic reaction to the vaccines etc)
这里呼吁大家记得要注册疫苗，爱自己和爱你身边的人。
