Lingua Gustatio: Ramadhan Buffet Wembley Cafe at The Wembley (St Giles) Hotel

During the holy month of Ramadhan, The Wembley's Hotel will be offering the sumptuous breaking fast buffet from 31st May 2018 until 14th June 2018. The gist of the menu shows a variety of Malaysian cuisine like traditional Malay dishes and also international favourites.

The mouthwatering seafood on the ice makes a great entrance to the Buka Puasa Buffet in Wembley Cafe. Be spoilt with more choices below, read on. ;)

Cold cuts starts with salad bar, ham slices, cheese station (Gouda, Blue, Camembert and Cheddar).

Top left shows the Ulam, a traditional Malay salad produced from raw vegetables and to be eaten with sambal and other sauces.

首先有沙拉，芝士还有我们马来风味的青菜配上各种本地酱汁。

By the way, no other starters are better than 'Buah Kurma' for Ramadhan.

多数人开斋时候都会先吃‘红枣’来提神一下，我也很爱吃嘻嘻。

Japanese sashimi, sushis are always the crowd's favourite.

Anyhow, we find the seafood-on-ice is way more interesting as you get to choose different varieties like tiger prawn, oyster, snow crab leg, flower crab, mussels and remember to match them with the dipping vinaigrette like Tabasco, Spicy Cocktail sauce and etc.

接下来是日式餐的海鲜啦，鲜蚝，虾子，蟹脚，干贝等等任君选择。

Moving on to the Main Course, some Malaysian Kampong dishes are fixtures in the buffet like Sotong Masak Kunyit, Daging Masak Berlada, Chicken 'Percik'

and many more.

主菜当然有我们马来西亚的料理，有黑胡椒牛肉，黄姜炒墨鱼等等。

The most popular dish of the day - Baked Scallop with Chili Mayo

当天最爱的辣椒美奶滋干贝，真的很好吃哦。

The Action Station showcases the braised whole duck, chicken and bean curd in Chinese style(just exactly like Hong Kong food stall).

On the other hand, we also get to savour the Western dishes like bread and mushroom soup.

这里有港式的卤鸭卤蛋，还有英式的面包，蘑菇汤。

One of the highlights in this Ramadhan buffet goes to the beef bone marrow broth aka Gearbox Soup which is hearty, generous and tasty.

另一特点是这炖牛骨汤，话说味道十足，很有饱足感。

Not full with the main course? Get some snacks like fried Wanton, papadum or keropok. 小吃之一

Another Live Action shown was our Chef demonstrating the techniques for Puteri Bersiram (which means bathing princess lol) It's basically glutinous flour rolled with various ingredients like durian, red bean and boiled in coconut milk.
