Lingua Gustatio: St Giles Wembley Hotel Buffet Lunch

The St Giles Wembley Hotel is one of the distinguished hotels in the Georgetown city inclusive of shopping mall, restaurants and Unesco heritage sites. It is easily spotted with its golden embellishment right opposite the tallest building in Penang, Komtar. 

Currently the premier hotel serves 24 hours local and international cuisines in the Wembley Cafe. 

在2015年正式营业的St Giles Wembley Hotel是市中心数一数二的有名酒店。这里很方便因为对面就是商业广场而且还有古迹文化遗产在附近。这次我们趁假日去试试他们的自助餐。

Before I could get my cutlery ready, I couldn't resist snapping more and more photos as the cafe's design is extremely exquisite and extravagant.

其实在开动前，我已花了不少时间先喂饱我的相机。哈哈因为这cafe真的太美了，金碧辉煌，晶莹剔透的装潢非常吸引我。

Despite the Thai theme today, the cafe includes some sushi and sashimi as well due to the festival season. 

好我们来说说食物。今天虽然是泰国餐，不过由于是特别假期，他们有加了寿司和生鱼片。

We could appreciate the hard work of the chef by looking at this meticulously shaped wasabi.

看这美丽雕刻的wasabi,我们可以感受到厨师的努力。

One thing about the scallops - too fun sized 

生海鲜 可惜没有生蚝，还有那干贝有点太小了。

The Cheesy Bar where you could find various types of cheese like Gouda, Camembert and also Blue Cheese.

各种各样的芝士任君选择。

There is always irresistible papaya and mango salad when you are in a Thai restaurant.

说明是泰国餐，一定会有的是芒果木瓜沙拉啦~

Miang Kham - A traditional leaf snack in Thailand where you fill multiple ingredients like peanut, shallot, lime, ginger, shrimps in a raw leaf. 

泰国必点小吃Miang Kham以洋葱，姜，花生，虾米，青柠蒙等等用叶子包起一口吃。很好吃噢！

Fruits Platter + Choc Fondue (not shown here) are generally every girl's favourite. 

There is also a wide selection of local desserts like kuih talam, kuih ubi kayu etc etc.

这里还有本地的糕点，如木薯糕，九层糕等等。

I would give 10/10 for the desserts especially the heavenly flavoured chocolate brownie!

Just wanna show off my curled hair that I spent almost half an hour for it. lol

话说那天花了半小时弄个有点奇怪的卷发，科科。

There is also roast chicken and duck available at the end of the cafe. 烧鸡鸭在餐厅的后方。

Every flavour of the ice cream looks tempting to me. lol

每一款冰淇淋都很好吃，忘了看是什么牌子的。呵呵

Getting yourself an ice kacang in this hot weather is a great choice.
