DAY 3 (Kaohsiung) 高雄

Breakfast is the most essential meal of the day and the homestay did provide us great meal to break the fast in Donut King. There were 3 options, hotdog, bread + bacon + scrambled eggs, toast with eggs to match with tea or coffee. 

我们的85幸福公寓有提供早餐在多纳力。可以从以上三项选择，要吃得饱就点左下角的英式早餐。

The first destination of the day is Love River which features natural picturesque scenery of Kaohsiung

You can stop by at any coffee house along the riverbank, 

have a sip of coffee and enjoy the charming view of the river.

可以一边慢慢的欣赏河景，一边喝香浓的咖啡。

Next, we visited the The British Consulate in Takao which was built in 1865 with similar idea of late Renaissance by making use of many arches. 接下来我们去到打狗英国领事馆。这领事馆是在十八世纪建成，

而很难得的是他英式建筑现在还完美的保留着。

Besides, you can get some drinks to quench your thirst at this 'rose garden cafe'. I do love the concept of most Taiwan tourist attraction that you could get rebate upon purchasing items with the entrance ticket.

我点了英国领事夫人玫瑰茶，很好喝哦~

We adored this beautifully painted coaster very much and its cost was only NT$120. 很漂亮的杯垫。

Hmm, so there was this VIP in between the Chinese representative and British consulate - The translator. 中间的就是翻译人啦。

            

 

The next stop would be Cijin that required a little distance of ferry cruise.  

之后我们就准备搭渡轮到旗津去。

NT$25 Adult/ NT$20 Student

Some adorable container ships were spotted. 可爱呢。

Just a little short ride of 10 min, and we arrived at the Qijin island. 短短十分钟，我们就到达旗津啦。

Stopped by to play some childhood fun games but failed to get some luck. =(

一开始我们就玩这丢圈圈，可惜都丢不进。

The adorning Tian Hou temples embellished with red lanterns are widely seen in Taiwan. 

台湾有很多庙而且都是装潢的很美。

It is advisable to get a bicycle/ cab to stroll along Cijin as the entire route is around 10km. lol. 

在旗津最好就是租辆脚车因为要环岛真的会比较方便。（我们很后悔没租脚车，走好远噢）

Peppery biscuit is apparently one of the famous snacks here and it tastes pretty good.

这胡椒饼真的很好吃，胡椒味十足。

Yeah, we managed to 'walk' up to this Rainbow Church, a favourite coastal 

attraction which was as colourful as the rainbow.

彩虹教堂是必去的景点。（我们走了15分钟才到，所以呢最好是租脚车呀）

这里是很多婚纱店必选的拍照地点。

As Cijin is locally endowed with sea catches, we just gotta try some and according to our relatives, do not visit the restaurants near the ferry terminal as the price would be extraordinarily high. Hence, this one was located near the Rainbow Church with reasonable price. (sorry can't really remember the restaurant's name)

旗津是小岛当然以海鲜为名。我们亲友说不要在靠近码头的海鲜店吃因为价钱会非常昂贵。

这间是靠近彩虹教堂的海产店。

After spending 2 hours in the Cijin Island, we stopped by at the Kaohsiung Harbor Train Station

 for some buds and blossoms. 

我们接着去到高雄港站（铁道文化园区）

This vibrant flowery landscape is a common photo shooting spot, 

look at the graduates behind taking their grad photos.

百花齐放，是拍照的好地点，连毕业生也在这里拍呢。

Fo Guang Shan Monastery founded by Hsing Yun Master is our next destination and I gotta admit this was the largest monastery covering more than 100 hectares. 

看完了花卉，我们来到由星云法师创办的佛光山。

Yes, there are many shops selling food and beverages including Starbucks Coffee. 

没想到佛光山里竟然也有小吃店，还有星巴克。

Some people might get startled by this 3D Laughing Buddha when he starts to talk. haha

一进去这3D房间就被笑佛‘笑’到。哈哈

You can also decide to have your wedding ceremony here with the witness of Buddha. =) 

你也可以在这里举办婚礼哦。

Our dinner was all set in Ruifeng Night Market. (Recommended by our relatives as it is 

not as packed as Liuhe Night Market)

晚餐我们在瑞丰夜市解决，亲友说瑞丰比六和好很多，食物好吃，价钱公道，游客也没那么多。

     

        

  

  

     

          

Right after dinner, we went back to our Homestay at 85 Sky Tower (Written in my previous post) 

吃过了，我们就回到同样民宿85幸福公寓啦。(上一篇介绍了）

DAY 4 - Sun Moon Lake 日月潭

Good morning! After having the breakfast provided by the homestay, we moved on 

towards Nan Tou with our cab driver.

早安！吃了同样的多纳力早餐，导游就带我们往南投去。

Chia Yi Turkey Rice fares reasonably well but just as a typical chicken rice.

嘉义火鸡饭很有名，不过我觉得还好就像普通鸡饭咯。

 

Besides, we bought a small packet of Pinang (Betel Nut) as Taiwan is famous of its Betel Nut Beauty. (basically just some sexy girls selling betel nut) lol. Being a dentist always advising people to stop smoking/ chewing betel nuts, and it was our first time to attempt on it. Trust me, it tastes really awful, just like an unripe fruit. 

话说台湾很多槟榔西施，我们也买了一包槟榔来试。(我们牙医规劝病人别吃，现在我们自己要试呵呵）果然很苦涩，很难吃，我的手指一碰就变红色了。

Today's activity would be spent in Sun Moon Lake generally. There are apparently different prices and I guess ours was NT$300 each (including all 3 stops to and fro)

今天大部分时间都会在日月潭度过。话说船票有很多种，我们的是台币300任搭三个站。

This Grandma's Tea Leaf Egg is a must-eat item! Be ready to queue and undoubtedly those eggs are deliciously enriched with the scent of herbs. 

阿嫲茶叶蛋是必买的因为是很好吃所以势必得排队啦。

We had a good laugh of the ferry captain whose name was wasabi handsome hunk. (and he overheard us laughing and joked with us too) lol...

渡轮导游竟然是哇沙米大帅哥。哈哈哈哈

Love this handmade Mochi with assorted flavours like redbean, peanuts, sesame, black tea etc etc.

个人很喜欢这小米麻薯，有很多口味噢。

Fancy some yam milk drink? 芋头牛奶，奶味占了七十八仙。

Before riding on the last ferry at 4.30pm 

Visited this Yue Lao Temple which was the God of Marriage. According to our cab driver, tourists from everywhere flocked here to make some wishes and they found their loved ones eventually. Many of them came back to return the wish together with the lover. Lets see whether it's working or not. (on my sibling =P )

月老庙据说很灵噢！很多游客都在几年后带另一半来还愿。

Our lovely stay was at Huo Pen Di Homestay at Sun Moon Lake. 

今晚我们留宿在活盆地民宿，外观很美是吧。（NT$2200)

We booked for a 4 pax room but the owner 'upgraded' it to a 10 pax room lol 

我们租四人房不过屋主给我们十人房。呵呵。

We had a lil steamboat over the cold breezy night, hence we bought all these ingredients before reaching the homestay. 

在这冷飕飕的高山里，我们自己准备热腾腾的火锅暖暖胃。

This pic is to show you the where the fireflies hide. They are easily found in this small alley just right just opposite from our homestay. You could spot swarms of glowing fireflies swooping in the dark and misty night.

最后呢我们去寻找萤火虫~ 在我们民宿对面的一条黑漆漆路中，我们看到很多很多荧光的小东西，好像小小的荧光棒哈哈。
