We bid goodbye to the little camping site and went for food hunting before leaving Kundasang.

2. Sinalau Bakas @ Kundasang 野山猪肉

1. Bob Chicken Wings @ Bundu Tuhan, Kundasang 鸡翅膀和屁股
The famous Bob Chicken Wings & asses. (The locals call them sayap ayam & buntut ayam).
I don't fancy chicken ass but it is well marinated with honey and tasted pretty good indeed.
本人对鸡屁股没兴趣不过也试了一个。那鸡屁股和翅膀都是由蜂蜜腌制的，味道确实是很棒，很香甜。
We were the first customers of the day as we reached there pretty early. The location is in Bundu Tuhan and perhaps you can check it out here.

2. Sinalau Bakas @ Kundasang 野山猪肉
Another must-have in Kundasang: Sinalau Bakas/ Wild boar
Unlike the usual siew yuk (cantonese)/ sio bak (hokkien), this meat was rather leaner and rougher in texture. This can be found in all along the KK-Kundasang route. However, some people may doubt the cleanliness of the food, we did enjoy it very much
without having diarrhea/ food poisoning throughout the entire trip lol
一路从KK-Kundasang都有售卖野山猪肉的档口。野猪呢肉质偏硬，脂肪较少。而店家用火炭烘烤得味道刚刚好，咸咸的很好吃。不过有些人说怕不是很卫生。我个人觉得还好吧，就是得尝尝本地的美食呀。

Back to the capital of Sabah, we checked into this beautiful condo - The Loft Residence @ Imago Mall. The condominium was launched in a year or two, still looking anew. The best part of it is you could go shopping instantly by taking an elevator. I wonder would I burn big holes in my pockets if I stay here permanently. lol
之后我们就一路回Kota Kinabalu。我们入住了这间高级公寓The Loft Residence. 楼下就是购物广场了，非常方便！

一路从KK-Kundasang都有售卖野山猪肉的档口。野猪呢肉质偏硬，脂肪较少。而店家用火炭烘烤得味道刚刚好，咸咸的很好吃。不过有些人说怕不是很卫生。我个人觉得还好吧，就是得尝尝本地的美食呀。

之后我们就一路回Kota Kinabalu。我们入住了这间高级公寓The Loft Residence. 楼下就是购物广场了，非常方便！
We were captivated by the trendy-looking living hall when we first stepped into the condo. It was spacious enough to be parted into another bedroom but the owner decided to leave it that way with the inclusion of a comfy sofa bed. The kitchen was simple and clean, equipped with a standard size fridge.
装潢华而不艳，简单利落，我们一看见那客厅的沙发就很是满意了。哈哈。
Oh hi~ hahaha
The rooms are neat and clean with the natural sunlight seeping in. There are 3 rooms here with 1 king bed in the master bedroom, 2 single beds in the middle rooms respectively which I can accommodate 6-10 people I guess. If you don't mind sleeping in the living hall. Besides, there are three bathrooms in this unit.
The gym facilities and swimming pool are free to visit as well.
再来这儿有三间房间，主人房是双人床，另外两间各两个单人床，还有三间冲凉房。我想可以容纳六至十人吧。除此，还可以享用这里的健身房和游泳池。
It was undoubtedly a pleasant stay overall and we wished we could stay here any longer. The rate was RM360/night. Do contact me if you are interested in this great deal! 我们大家都很喜欢这个地方，价钱是一晚RM360，是不是很值得呢？有兴趣可以私下联络我哦。
We were guided by our local friends to try on this Sang Nyuk Mian at Lintas Plaza. (RM 7.50 for the noodle & soup) This first meal in KK certainly did not disappoint us as the soup was authentically rich in pork essence (though a little bit too salty for me). You could opt for purely pork meat or with the addition of organs alongside with the noodle. The beverages are just comparatively average.
这生肉面是本地人都爱吃的一家。我们的第一餐就是这一碗黑黑的面，配上了浓浓猪肉汤。我们大家都很喜欢那汤底 （虽然我个人觉得有点咸），可以相信是熬了不少时间而成的。你可以选择要加内脏或不用哦。

As for dinner, we went to this sweet lil cafe - The B Side and it is seemingly a hotspot since its opening 2 years back. We love its cozy and simple concept that comprises mostly from the concrete walls, timber furniture and some retro furnishing.

他们的装饰以原始砖墙，木制品为主，有点小复古的感觉。
I tried their signature Soft Shell Crab Pasta and thumbs up! The pasta was lightly seasoned to correspond with the golden fried soft shell crab. No doubt it is truly their highlight of all. Besides, if you are a vegan, perhaps this Mushrooms Aglio Olio would suit your taste. The Hawk's Eye which is cold-pressed carrot, orange and pineapple juice serves as cooling drink and also our daily vitamin booster.
我点了他们的招牌软壳蟹意大利面，果然没有让我们失望。面条质感刚刚好，味道偏淡因为配上了重口味的软壳螃蟹，就非常合适。如果你是素食者，可一点这蘑菇意大利面，也是挺不错的。我还点了The Hawk's Eye果汁，里头有萝卜，鲜橙和黄梨榨成的，很鲜甜。

The next cafe of the day goes to October Cafe that is apparently owned by a Korean. My first impression was gosh, why the heck it is so full?
We actually planned to detour to other cafe but fortunately we could find some seats in the upper deck.
Anyway, no regrets of queuing for seats as this cafe serves really awesome desserts. I didn't try their coffee (not a coffee person) despite the locals saying October serves the best coffee in town.
我们吃了晚餐，想找个地方喝茶聊天。就来到了这由一位韩国人开的十月咖啡厅。一进去就看见满是客人，所幸楼上还有一些位子坐。
The Hokkaido cake was soft, fluffy and fairly sweet while the ice creams on the top right was our favourite. It may look like 3 plain scoops of vanilla ice creams but after getting topped with nuts and legumes, the savour was highly enhanced.
我们试了北海道蛋糕，松软又不会太甜很满意。而右上角的是看是普通的香草冰淇淋，不过加上满满的榛果和其他豆子，味道就加分了。（好啦女生就是爱甜点嘛）

If you still remember the idiom 'When in Romes, do like the Romans do', right here we practise 'When in Tuaran, eat the Tuaran mee like the Tuarans do. lol
We wondered what Tuaran Noodle (RM6.50) tasted like but sadly it was not up to our expectation. The noodle was rather too soggy to us but the sliced meat and egg were fairly satisfying.
人家说来到了斗亚兰，就应该试他们的斗亚兰炒面。可惜我们都不是很喜欢，
那面条有点太湿和软了，味道就还好。
Well there were other options if you're not fond of the former. The Roasted Pork Noodle (RM6.50) is also one of the renowned dishes here and it fares really well.
By the way, I have no idea how many Teh C ice I had in the trip cuz we rarely find it in Penang kopitiam.
至于左上角的叉烧面我们就很满意啦，可能是和家乡的味道差不多吧，呵呵。

Well market is always one of the must-go if you like to see the local art and culture. This Gaya street market is only available on the Sunday mornings. Honestly, this is prolly the most peculiar market that I have ever visited. Why? Any items that you can name it, they trade it here. lol
这菜市场只是在星期天早上开市而已，这里卖的东西应有尽有，上至宠物，下至画画，植物海鲜通通都有。
I bought few souvenirs like keychains, tshirt typical items but if you wish to buy something different, they do sell erm... pets (hamster/puppy/kitty/rabbit/birds), batik sarong, calligraphy, art drawings, flower bouquet, herbs, handsoaps, fresh seafood etc etc.
Oh yeah, there is something not to miss as a coffee lover -
The Yit Foh Tenom Coffee which is only RM10/ pack.
对了如果你爱喝咖啡，Tenom 咖啡就一定要买回去啦，只是十令吉而已。
8. Sarawak Laksa @ Kedai Kopi Kinabalu 沙捞越叻沙
After almost an hour of shopping at Gaya Street, we stopped by Kedai Kopi Kinabalu for their remarkable Sarawak Laksa. There are few choices available(from top to bottom) like prawn laksa, beef laksa and fish laksa. Frankly all the soups are pretty much the same but the second one carries heavier beef scent. Otherwise, the laksa was in prime and similar to our laksa lemak.
我们逛完了Gaya Street，就来到后面的一间咖啡厅，据说他们的沙捞越叻沙很不错。我们点了虾子，牛肉和鱼肉叻沙。味道大致上都一样，有点像我们友族的Laksa lemak, 浓浓的椰浆味，好吃噢。

9. Catch the Sunset @ Shangri-la Tanjung Aru Resort
If you follow my Instagram, 50% of my pics are about sceneries. Landscape/ sunset/ sunset are my fav. Thus, Tanjung Aru beach is also enlisted as my destination for capturing sunset.

I gotta admit that seafood is my personal fav because as a Penangite, I'm very proud of our lil island which is well endowed with abundant sea catches. However, KK seafood creates more eye-opening scenes to me. Like the elephant-trunk clam (geoduck) on the top right, it was actually my first experience trying it. It tasted rather chewy like mussels.
海鲜是我个人所爱~不过这里的海鲜真的很新鲜，味道鲜甜。
我第一次试那象拔蚌，它就是非常有嚼劲，味道就像蚌类一样。

We had a hearty meal all thanks to our great local friends.
We will certainly come back for this in our next KK trip.

11. Perdana Park
Last but not least, here is one of the best places to go after dinner. Or perhaps you can have your dinner here since there are some cafes available like Inch Coffee. You could take a leisure walk or just grab your running shoes for a jog while enjoy the panoramic view of Musical Fountain. The musical show time starts around 7PM till 9PM. Anyway, I strongly believe it is a great venue for couple dates, don't you agree? =P
最后要介绍的是可以一边欣赏风景，一边运动的Perdana Park。这里有音乐喷泉，由晚上七点至九点钟。你可以和爱人在这漫步，或者可以到这里的咖啡厅坐着聊天，欣赏美景。
