Lingua Gustatio: Jeeves Cafe @ Love Lane

Every Penangnite should know Love Lane, which is full of loves within the zone of UNESCO World Heritage. It is basically a sweet little lorong (lane), hence you can't really miss Jeeves Cafe. It is just few doors away from the Wheeler's Coffee. 

Jeeves Cafe specializes in serving All-Day-Brunch, including the classic menu and also some self improvised dishes. 

想必大家都听过Love Lane 爱情巷吧。没错就是那弥漫着爱情芬芳的小巷。哈哈哈，少说废话。来介绍一下位于爱情巷的Jeeves Cafe，它是全天候供应早餐的咖啡厅。（真好，我不需要早起床去吃早餐。=P ）

Upon walking into the cafe, you would be greeted by the peculiar bulldog wallpaper which indeed attracts everyone's attention. 
一踏进去，就深深地被那狗狗壁画吸引住了，很特别吧。

If you love outdoor & natural sunlight, here is a good spot for you. And yes, I selected this place as well (for the sake of photos with excellent lighting =P)
我选择了后方的座位，因为阳光十足，拍照才会美嘛。

Salted caramel latte RM11.80

Here comes the first beverages, honestly I am not a coffee person, thus I picked the salted caramel. (Most girls love caramel, aye?) I wish the caramel could be a little bit richer, or else it would be totally to my liking. As for the hazelnut latte, the roasted aroma was indeed captivating.
首先，这焦糖拿铁是不错的，甜中带苦，唯一美中不足的地方是如果焦糖可以再多一些些，就很满意了。而那榛子拿铁闻起来味道是非常浓郁。

British Tomato RM13.80

Freshly made tomato based soup topped with croutons and cream

 I could sense the sincerity of the chef from this first dish. Why? It is because this is totally made from scratch. The fresh tomatoes were blended to become puree and simmered together with other spices like basil. Besides, the croutons are often the best companions for texture and flavour enhancement.
英国来的番茄，哈哈，直接英翻中嘛。本人给这番茄汤10个likes! 因为我尝得出厨师的心意。那番茄呢是真材实料，几颗几颗拿去搅，再加上各种香料如九层塔等等拿去熬。那小面包也为这汤增加了不少滋味。

 Jeeves Ultimate Ben 36.80

This ultimate ben did impress me ultimately by the adipose looking poached eggs. Lets start from the top till bottom, we have the lovely eggs, bacon with smoked paprika, sauteed mushrooms, lettuce and last but not least, the ultimately juicy pork patties! Everything is well coordinated especially the Hollandaise sauce which is the gist of all.  

主角来啦，我称它为终极Ben, 哈哈，一开始就被那金黄色的酱汁吸引了。由上往下，我们有半熟蛋，培根，蘑菇，沙拉和终极猪扒。全部都是最佳组合，是一个很棒有丰盛的早餐点。

Jeeves Big breakfast RM23.80

A slice of toast, sauteéd fresh mushrooms, baked beans, scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, grilled tomato, streaky bacon and garden greens

Another protagonist of Jeeves! Bread, eggs, bacon and sausages are always the best combo in breakfast but not everybody could match them all well. The one that wins my heart most is the scrambled eggs. They are sooo fluffily soft. Not to forget about the 6 grain toast which is much crunchier and healthier. The sauteeéd mushrooms are delightful as well as the crispy bacon. 
接下来，这是他们的招牌大早餐，是由培根，鸡蛋，面包，香肠，蘑菇，番茄豆，和沙拉合成的。最吸引我的是那炒蛋，又滑又嫩。而那面包是老板特选的健康麦片面包。

Tea by pot RM8.80

Lemongrass and ginger

If you wish for a non caffeine drink, they serve tea as well. 不想喝咖啡的，他们也有各式各样的茶。

Despite looking in sweet pink, it is not sugary at all and rather bland. Some of you might be afraid of the spiciness of ginger but worry not, the lemongrass scent weighs heavier than the ginger instead. The presence of pinkish hue is because of the tint of raspberry. 

这是柠檬草姜茶。是的，一开始听到这我也会有些害怕，本人还蛮怕姜的辣味。奇特的是，它不但没有辣味，而且还有清新的味道。那粉红色是由树莓树立的。

Sparkling with real juice

The tapping tapir - Hibiscus and lime RM9.80

This is definitely something sweet to quench your thirst. It is fruity, tangy with the lime, and aromatic due to the hibiscus. 
这大红花柠檬吉也是解暑的一种饮料。甜甜凉凉地，还有淡淡的大红花香。

Tiramisu RM14.80

This Italian dessert is also loved by most of us Malaysians. The Mascarpone cheese mousse was too soft till it melts thoroughly in the mouth. It is pretty sweet until the coffeeness becomes pulled away. It would be perfect if there is a concortion of liquor too. 
提拉米苏是意大利著名甜品，它也是男女老少都爱的啦。这芝士真的是入口即化，味道浓厚。可惜那咖啡味被甜味盖过去了，不过还是很美味。如果有加入酒精的话，想必更是锦上添花。

Beetroot Raspberry Cheesecake RM14.80 

The initial bite is truly sweet due to the raspberry coulis, then it is followed by the velvety cheese and lastly a little aftertaste of the beetroot.  Some might not even get to taste the beetroot, according to the owner.
这是我偏爱的甜菜树莓芝士蛋糕。第一口会有少许甜，接下来是芝士香味，而最后呢是微微的甜菜。那老板说大部分的人都尝不出甜菜的味道，我想我的舌尖味蕾比较敏感吧。哈哈。

By the way, the owner emphasizes the usage of natural ingredients, thus no artificial colouring and preservatives in order to serve the best and healthy desserts to the customers. 
还有的是，老板强调天然食材，目的就是要让客人吃的开心又健康。
