Lingua Gustatio: BM Cup Rice 大山脚盖饭

This is one of the renowned stalls among the Bukit Mertajam neighbourhood as it has been operating since the grandparents' times. Wonder why is it named as Cup Rice? Apparently, the rice is steamed in the stainless steel cup and thereafter topped with roasted pork and chicken. 

What makes it unique is the cup-size rice and also the flooding gravy.

相信大山脚居民对这盖饭一点都不陌生因为这家店的确是老字号。盖饭的由来是因为用铁碗把饭煮熟，而后盖上烧猪肉和鸡肉。另外再淋上满满的卤汁，味道十分丰富。

Shredded roasted pork and chicken slices are just simply irresistible though the gravy is pretty salty to me...but anyway, 

this cup rice deserves another visit as this big serve only costs RM4.

虽然个人口味偏淡，认为卤汁有少许咸，不过整个盖饭味道真的是非常吸引。

而且这盘满满的盖饭才四零吉而已。

There must always be a clear soup to fit with the chicken/ pork rice. Chinese style mah~

Honestly, the soup was rather dull but since the rice is pretty flavourful, 

the soup needs not be the highlight anyhow. Haha.

华人吃饭总是得配上一碗清汤。相对之下，这汤就还蛮清淡的，不用紧因为汤不是重点嘛。
