DoroTravels: Langkawi 2D1N Mini Trip

It's been a long while since I last updated my blog. Iamsorry Well, I guess most of the people are back from their vacation and ready to get back to work tomorrow perhaps? Lol So it was a long stretch of holiday due to the Hari Raya Haji & Malaysia Day but I just had a short weekend getaway to the archipelago of Kedah, Langkawi.

我又回来啦~ 假期结束了，明天又得上班上课了，大家准备好了吗？今天写关于我昨天去的浮罗交怡岛，只是很短的两天一夜行程。

Langkawi would be a great choice if you wish for a short getaway (for the liquor and chocolate shopping lol) and I personally have travelled there couple of times few years back. 

话说很多年前我去过浮罗交怡，是一个不错的小旅行地点。

We departed from Kuala Kedah and arrived at Langkawi in one and a half hours. (RM23 one way) Apparently now the ticket is available online. It's advisable to book online to avoid disappointment during holidays. In addition, pls get your antiemetics ready to counter the motion sickness during the bumpy ferry ride.

我们从吉打Kuala Kedah码头上船，一个半小时就到达了。大家可以上网购票因为听说假期人会很多，最好尽快买票。还有记得准备晕船药，那天海浪很大导致船摇摇摆摆的，很多大人小孩都呕。。。

As soon as we arrived at the ferry terminal, we hired a van driver to bring us to the hotel & this 5D Art Museum - Believe Langkawi

我们请了一位司机载我们去酒店和这5D艺术馆。

It is an interactive trick-eye museum featuring different themes of art display. Undoubtedly it is interesting and enjoyable for friends and family. 

这是一个老少咸宜，一家大小的好去处，里头有很多漂亮缤纷的图案，让你感觉好像置身于内。

Here you could perform any poses or stunts etc to unleash your artistic side hahaha. We have taken more than a hundred photos in just merely one hour. lol

在这你可以尽情发挥你的才华，摆出各式各样的姿势。呵呵

Next, we headed to Cenang Beach and check into our hotel - Royal Agate Hotel. 

接下来我们就到达我们的酒店啦。

The Royal Agate is relatively new in Cenang Beach and to be honest it is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed. The room is spacious with comfy bed and location wise, it is truly strategic as the beach is just one street away. (though I still prefer hotel facing the beach front haha) Well, the price is slightly higher compared to other boutique hotels (around RM180 including 2 pax of breakfast) 

but it is quite worthwhile to me.

这Royal Agate酒店是蛮新的，同样也是在Cenang海边旺区。我们很满意这酒店因为一，很新和干净；二，房间很大！再来地点不错，过一条马路就到海边了~~一晚大约RM180（包早餐），是稍微贵了一点不过是值得的。（话说如果这酒店是直接在海边隔壁，一开门就踏到沙滩，我会更加兴奋！呵呵）

We left our belongings in the room and walked outside hunting for food. All of us were seriously famished and unfortunately, it was pretty difficult to look for food at that hour. (Most of them are seafood restaurants and we planned to have seafood as dinner) Finally we came across The Three Amigos.

我们放下行李，就马上走出去找吃的。Cenang这条路很少有午时餐厅，我们终于找到一间餐厅

The Three Amigos restaurant serves marvellous Mexican cuisine like fajitas and quesadillas as well as Italian pasta and pizza. As for mine, I ordered Tuna Quesadillas which were too good to be described (or perhaps I was starving lol) The price ranging is around RM25-50.

这家主打墨西哥和意大利餐，食物都很不错，只是皮萨有点普通，价钱也是中等价位。

After having the great lunch, we had a leisure stroll along the road. (We gotta walk as we ditched our driver lol) I love walking around, sipping in our cider, looking for beach dresses 

(just like the good old days in Goa India).

吃饱了我们就走走看看，买瓶水果啤酒吹吹海风。

We had our dinner at Palm View Seafood Restaurant. Clockwise: Fried mantis prawn, stewed clams with garlic, fried squid, steamed red snapper in Teochew style, tomyam seafood soup, pan fried vege.

 The seafood I had few years back was delightful but it kinda disappointed us last night because firstly the food served was quite slow (the restaurant was not packed) and secondly, it was not as flavourful as before. I would say only the clams and vege were up to my expectations. (perhaps my tastebuds are sharper than the others) For the price wise, it was reasonable at around RM30+ per pax.

晚餐呢，我们来到这家椰林中华海鲜料理。我们点了虾姑肉，蒜炒拉拉，煎墨鱼，潮州蒸红鱼，东炎海鲜汤和炒油麦。老实说，味道不如从前，个人认为那拉拉是唯一挺好吃的，

食物来到有点慢，而价钱也是中等。

 Rise and shine, we wanted to get up early for sunrise but we could not make it due to the cloudy sky (and yes I couldn't wake up lol) Another pros of this Royal Agate Hotel was the breakfast provided was absolutely appetizing. While all of us were indulged in the food, 

we were also amazed by the mesmerizing rooftop view.

第二天我们本来想早起看日出，不过睡不醒加上乌云密布，算了吧。哈哈。

我们就在浪漫的屋顶享受我们的美味早餐。

The hearty breakfast consists of both international and local food like the english bread, yogurt + muesli, nasi lemak and also '4-ways' egg instantly prepared by the chef.

早餐有面包，麦片，牛奶，还有我们的本地早餐辣死你玛，以及厨师现场烹调的4样蛋。

We left right after our breakfast as our ferry boarding time was at 10AM. Therefore, this was an indeed short and sweet trip. We just spent our relaxing hours residing at the beach (playing sandcastles hehe), light shopping of chocolate and liquor, and that's it. 

过后我们就搭油轮回家去咯~ 就这样我们的小小旅行结束啦。因为我们都去过那些旅游景点了，这次只是存脆要放松一下，喝点小酒吹海风，很舒服~

Tadaa, gonna gain weight in 2 weeks with these. lol

又再增肥啦。呵呵
